Dogs for the Disabled

Dogs for the Disabled trains dogs to help disabled people live life more independently. The dogs are trained in practical tasks such as opening and closing doors, helping a person undress, even taking the laundry out of the washing machine.

Dogs for the Disabled is our chosen charity for 2008/2009.  We currently have two sponsored puppies, Ruby and Inka. In September 2008  staff took part in the Great Scottish Run, raising £1500 which enabledus to purchase two puppies, Harmony and Doug, who have joined our first pup, Tassie, in training. Fundraising continues.
