£8 million distributed to projects for children and young people, 1,200 organised events and 20,000 ties worn, all in the last 20 years and all achieved by volunteers working on behalf of Wooden Spoon.

Each year from 2000 to 2003, the company supported the Four Peaks Challenge - one of Britain's most gruelling tests of physical endurance involving teams scaling four of the highest mountains in Britain and Ireland in under 48 hours - by sponsoring a team of sports masseurs who provided leg massages to ease their aching limbs at the foot of each mountain.

We also sponsored the Bioforce Herbal Harriers, who competed from 1999 to 2003, winning a number of Awards, in particular the overall Challenge Award for a combination of fastest time and funds raised in 2002.

Our staff adopted the charity as their own from 2000 to 2003 and their fundraising efforts, coupled with the company’s donation, enabled the Herbal Harriers to pledge an overall total £33,268.
