The Helpline staff cannot advise on conditions contained within the Medicines Act. The ailments covered by the Medicines Act are cancer, diabetes, cataracts, paralysis, glaucoma, tuberculosis, epilepsy or fits, Locomotor ataxia, sexually transmitted diseases, and kidney disease (including Bright’s Disease – kidney inflammation).
The Helpline staff cannot diagnose. You are advised to consult your doctor or another healthcare professional for a diagnosis if you have not already done so. We do not to advise for children under two years old, or for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
