Suffering a Cold or Flu
Strengthen the immune system to minimise the misery of colds and flu.

A cold is a viral infection that can strike at any time. Many people accept a regular attack as a fact of life. The nose, mouth and throat may become infected and inflamed, causing swelling, leading to symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, sneezing, watery eyes and a headache.

The body’s immune system has the ability to detect and destroy bacteria and viruses, so it is in our best interests to see that it is functioning well. Regular exercise, a healthy dietand plenty of warm drinks can help; taking vitamin C is also thought to be beneficial. However, if you do catch a cold Echinaforce can help relieve the symptoms.

Remember that all colds and most coughs and sore throats are caused by viruses. Antibiotics do not work against infections, such as colds, caused by viruses.  However if a cold lasts for more than three weeks, or you become breathless or have chest pains, or already have a chest complaint, see your doctor.

Symptoms include:
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Sneezing
  • Fever
