What is Echinaforce?

Echinaforce is a traditional herbal remedy used for symptomatic relief of colds, influenza type infections and similar upper respiratory tract conditions.

At what age can children take Echinaforce?
Children over the age of 6 can use Echinaforce.


 Why are the warnings in the leaflet not on the box?
The minimum information required on the box is set out in law. Over and above this there are requirements to provide full information for the safe use of the product including any warning statements. Where these do not fit on the box, a leaflet is provided.

Are there any side effects when taking Echinaforce?
Minor stomach upsets and slight skin rashes have been reported in sensitive individuals. However, Echinaforce is a member of the daisy family and people allergic to daisies may also have a problem with Echinaforce. Herbal medicines, as with all types of medication, don’t always suit everyone.

Can Echinaforce be taken with prescribed upper respiratory tract medication?
Echinaforce can be taken with most medications, but if you are concerned speak to your doctor.

Can I take Echinaforce with high blood pressure medication or blood thinning drugs such as Aspirin or Warfarin?
Yes. There are no known contraindications taking these drugs with Echinaforce, but if you are concerned speak to your doctor.

Can I take Echinaforce with the Pill?
Yes. Echinaforce’s main action is upon immune function and there are no indications that it has any effect on the hormones.

What is the best way to take Echinaforce?
Echinaforce should be taken in a small amount of water, 15 drops 2-3 times daily for adults and 7 drops 2-3 times daily for children aged 6-12 years.
