Alfred Vogel and Fresh Herbs In
the mid 1930s, a herbalist named Alfred Vogel set up one of
Switzerland’s first naturopathic clinics in the village of Teufen,
Canton of Appenzell.
Taking advantage of the clean mountain air,
Vogel cultivated medicinal plants for the many people who travelled far
and wide to see him. He came to insist on using only freshly picked
herbs in his herbal remedies – and this led him to pioneer the
technique of fresh herb extraction.
In 1963, Alfred Vogel
founded Bioforce to produce his fresh herb extracts on a larger scale.
Today, A.Vogel remedies are used by countless people all over the world.
