background

I had a very sharp pain on the right side of my lower back about 6 weeks ago. My back is still sore. Could this be related to the menopause? I've just had a period after 5 months without one. I am 54 years old.

You won’t get the menopause the minute you turn 50! The average starting age is actually between 45 and 55 and it can often depend on a number of factors including hereditary, weight and health, however every single woman will have an individual menopause.
