Stress can really affect the hormones so it may well just be a blip.
However, you are in the average age range, 45-55, so it may be that you are approaching the start of the menopause.
Most women do go through the menopause with little or no problem and often the first sign is a missing period. You may find your period eventually arrives and that they come and go erratically for a while, or for some women they just stop and that's it!
Unfortunately, it is practically impossible to tell how it will go! Rest and relaxation are great for the menopause so enjoy yourself!
