I am about to turn 43. I want to have a baby because I only have one other child. I am having signs of hot flushes though, and I'm sweating. Is it safe for me and my baby?
If you are still having regular periods then it is theoretically possible to get pregnant, your doctor may be able to test your hormone levels and that would give you a better idea of what is happening.
Flushes can be caused by other factors such as stress so do check your stress levels. The average age of the menopause is 45-55 but some women do start earlier, especially if other close female relatives started around that age.
