Helix
Slim - Frequently Asked Questions
I thought Artichoke was for high cholesterol
and fat metabolism?
The herb found in Helix Slim, Jerusalem Artichoke,
should not be confused with Globe Artichoke. Jerusalem
Artichoke is not a true artichoke as it comes from
the sunflower family. It works completely differently
from Globe Artichoke.
How
does it work then?
Helix contains vast quantities of complex sugars
which have several useful functions. These sugars
are full of sweetness but do not need insulin
to deal with them. Helix has the ability to stabilise
blood sugar levels.
Wildly vacillating blood sugar levels are what triggers
cravings, especially sugar cravings, so by controlling
them you have a better chance of eating sensibly instead
of falling for sugary snacks.
What else does Jerusalem Artichoke do?
The herb contains soluble fibres that have the ability
to improve bowel function, promoting the elimination
of wastes that may be stagnating in the bowel. The
overall effect on the bowel is very positive for friendly
bacteria, and a bowel full of friendly bacteria is
a happy bowel.
So it is helping you lose weight by improving
the bowel function and making you less hungry?
That is right - Helix improves friendly bacteria,
stabilising blood sugar levels to reduce cravings.
Are there any problems with using it?
Not that we know of. If you take more than
the recommended amount or have very sensitive
digestion, it may give you intestinal discomfort
due to the bulking effect - in this instance,
reduce the dosage. Other than that, do not take
Helix Slim if you are allergic to the sunflower
family.
Is there any proof that it works?
Yes. A placebo-controlled clinical trial
resulted in 47% of Jerusalem Artichoke patients
attaining a body mass index (BMI) of under 25
(a BMI of over 25 being classified as 'overweight'),
whilst in the placebo group only 28% reached this
target. There were no reported ill effects.
Is there a time limit on how long I can take it?
No. However, once you have reached your desired weight,
it will be sensible to stop Helix Slim to see if your
body still requires the herb.
Can diabetics use it to balance their blood sugar?
This is not a use that we would recommend the herb
for. In general, those with diabetes should always
take herbal medicines with the knowledge and consent
of their medical practitioner.
Can it be taken with other medications such as thyroxine,
antidepressants, high blood pressure drugs, heart
medication?
Yes. Most other herbal slimming products contain
stimulants which should not be used with the above
medicines. Helix Slim, on the other hand, does
not have these restrictions. |
