Helix Slim - for weight and appetite control

The Helix Slim Story

Jerusalem Artichoke ((Helianthus tuberosus) is actually a member of the sunflower family, and just to add to the confusion, it originated in America where it grew wild along the eastern seaboard. Native Americans called them sun roots and introduced the edible tubers to the pilgrims.

In the 17th Century, this handsome sunflower came to Europe. Said to taste like artichoke,  the sunseeker (Gensirola in Italian) soon became a staple food in times of famine, its capacity for appetite control doubtless an added benefit. Alfred Vogel knew its effectiveness in supporting appetite control and recommended use of the fresh herb in tincture form for just that purpose in his seminal work, The Nature Doctor.

Vogel knew that products made from freshly harvested herbs contain higher levels of active ingredients and hence are more effective. Tubers are planted in early spring, producing tall sunflowers with extensive foliage. The annual crop of tubers is harvested in October and rapidly processed to create the tincture we know as Helix Slim.
