Bio-Propolis

What is Bio-Propolis?
Propolis is the bees’ antiseptic, reducing the growth of bacteria, viruses and moulds inside the hive. It is antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and has a local anaesthetic and skin healing effect. Bio-Propolis is made from material gathered by bees from Canadian polar trees, as they grow in a very unpolluted area.

What will Bio-Propolis do?
It will
·    Tackle the virus that causes the cold sore
·    Reduce secondary infection – the spread of the virus
·    Reduce the intensity of the pain
·    Reduce the healing time

Use

Apply it five times daily for the duration of the cold sore. Children under 12 should be taken to their doctor to have symptoms checked. People with recurrent cold sores should also check with their doctor.

Research
A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 68 patients looked at the effect of BioPropolis on cold sores. The group using Bio-Propolis healed in an average of 6.24 days, whilst the placebo group took 9.77 days to heal. The Bio-Propolis group also found that they were pain free significantly earlier than the placebo group. 100% of them said they found their treatment to be very or somewhat effective.

Healing time was reduced by 3.5 days – definitely worth trying
