The easiest, homemade coleslaw recipe ever ? I’m not sure about you, but I’m constantly trying to limit processed items reaching my table, especially when alternative dishes can be made so simply at home. And I’m talking, in a matter of minutes. Plus, the taste, and overall experience of adding more home cooking to your routine, is second to none. So, on my list this week to share was a really simple coleslaw recipe I’ve been making for my family for a while now. It goes down a treat, and once you’ve made real coleslaw, you’ll struggle to go back. Save it for later, lovely people!

Homemade Coleslaw - serves 4-8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 heaped tsp wholegrain mustard
  • pinch of salt (coarse sea salt, Celtic salt or Herbamare are firm favourites of mine)
  • 2-3 tbsp mayo of choice (olive oil, or avocado mayonnaise are nice options)

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Serve and enjoy!
