Did you know?
Peanut butter is a great food to fuel up on before a 5K or 10K because of its low GI, high carbohydrate and high protein content.
What to eat before a 5K or 10KHi there, first of all I would recommend reading my blog 'Easy ways to exercise at home' for some ideas on how to stay active without having to leave your own home. You should aim to include a selection of cardio activities (jogging, cycling etc.) alongside strength workouts. This can be anything from lifting weights to Yoga.
Ideally, we should be aiming for 2 hours and 30 minutes of exercise a week and it should be a combination of the activities listed above.
If your end goal is to lose weight, you will have to consider your diet too. It is always best to cook from scratch with fresh, whole ingredients, rather than opting for processed foods (jars of sauce, ready meals, tinned meals etc.). You may also want to limit your intake of refined sugar, caffeine and alcohol, if this is applicable.
I hope this helps!
