There are lots of exercises that can help tackle belly fat, as I discuss in my blog 'Best exercises for weight loss'. This piece offers lots of activity suggestions, but really any exercise that is more than what you were previously doing is a positive step – even if it is just a walk every other day to begin with.
There isn't one type of exercise that is especially beneficial for sufferers of diabetes so try out a few things (walking, Yoga, Pilates, cycling – whatever takes you fancy) until you find something you enjoy and can keep up regularly.
Remember, as well as getting more active, it is important to think about your diet if you want to lose weight. I always recommend trying to cook with fresh ingredients, and to try out new recipes. This way you'll avoid eating too many processed foods, plus your body gets lots of nutrient-rich foods to keep it healthy.
