Check nowUnfortunately, I am not aware of a specific age, as such, that IBS eases.
IBS can be caused by different factors and can be tricky to treat. It is best to keep a food diary to see if you can pinpoint, any trigger foods.
Also, often with IBS it is not what you eat but how you eat it that is the issue. Eating on the run or when stressed is likely to contribute to IBS, as is drinking with meals, and not taking time to chew properly. Warm, cooked foods are better than raw, cold foods for people with IBS. Cooked fruit and vegetables are less likely to cause problems than cold fruit and salad. Don't eat large quantities of white rice, white pasta or white bread, and ensure that your bowel moves at least once daily, as a sluggish bowel is more likely to be troublesome.
