Do you think that your product is better than the ones I am using such as tamsulosin hydrochloride or finesteride? I am over 70 years & I get free medication from NHS via my GP's surgery. Can your product dor better than the ones I have & if so, HOW?

Hello. There is research evidence to show that Saw palmetto can be as effective as prescribed medication for mild to moderate cases of prostate enlargement (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9820264) so the effects are comparable. However, not all medication will work for all people all the time so you will have see if it will work for you. The clear benefit of Saw palmetto extract is that it can help symptoms without the side effects associated with prescribed medication. Finally, please note that you should not take Saw palmetto at the same time as your prescribed medication, without the knowledge of your doctor, as they work on your prostate using similar pathways.

Hello Prabha If you are having difficulty emptying the bladder this could indicate that there is still a problem with the prostate. I would advise that you go and see your doctor for an examination to determine what is happening just now. You may find taking a Saw Palmetto capsule can help to ease the bladder discomfort.

Hello Brian. If you suspect you have an enlarged prostate gland, the first thing you should do is to make an appointment with your doctor in order to confirm the diagnosis. For mild to moderate cases of prostate enlargement, we would suggest to use of Saw palmetto extracts - this works in the same way as prescribed medication for the condition, but without the associated side effects.
