Suspect you have enlarged prostate?
Take our test and let us explain what your symptoms could mean.
Check nowIf you are under 50 years old then healthy PSA levels will range from 0.3 to 2.5 (nanograms per millilitre or ng/ml). As you get older, the range for healthy PSA levels increases and by the time you are over 70, anything up to 17.8 is considered ok. So yes, you are definitely in the healthy range for a younger man. PSA readings do not constitute part of the diagnosis of enlarged prostate though, so you will need your doctor to do further tests to confirm this. It is normal for men around the age of 50 to have some symptoms of an enlarged prostate, as the prostate grows with age. By the age of 80, most men have some symptoms of enlarged prostate.
