TWOC is an acronym used by doctors to mean Trial Without Catheter.
In men with an enlarged prostate, urinary catheters are inserted mainly for two reasons – to relieve bladder fullness if you are not able to pass urine or after prostate surgery.
When the doctor feels that the catheter is no longer needed, it is removed with the view that if you are unable to urinate, the catheter is re-inserted.
