I am wondering what is causing my hayfever symptoms (streaming nose, runny eyes, etc.). I have got a mass of different plants growing in my garden including Dahlias, Golden Rod, a large Juniper, a very large Elm, Sunflowers and Daisies. Are these bad ones?

It is actually very hard to determine what exactly is at the root of hayfever symptoms. Usually the time of year gives an indication, but if your symptoms have occurred out-with the regular hayfever season, it would be near impossible to work out where exactly the problem is coming from. I will say, however, that symptoms of a daisy allergy only usually emerge when this plant is eaten so I don't think the issue lies with the flowers. It is more likely to be linked to the trees and grass as even though there is only a small amount of pollen in the air at the moment, this can mix with pollution to make hayfever symptoms more noticeable.
