Dizziness and flu

Dizziness is often a result of being dehydrated during the flu

Echinacea is a traditional herb known to aid the body in its fight against colds and flu by supporting the immune system – but not all Echinacea is the same! Research shows that the fresher the herb, the more effective the remedy will be, which is why our Echinaforce cold and flu remedies are made using freshly harvested Echinacea.

I am experiencing vertigo for the past 3 days - no cold or flu symptoms . Could this also be the flu?

Vertigo resulting from a viral infection can appear without concurrent symptoms typical of a cold or flu. However, there are many other causes of vertigo and associated dizziness and as your symptoms are unexplained, you should really make an appointment to see your doctor to rule out other health conditions.

Hello Natalie, Usual symptoms of flu, such as aches or pains, fever, nausea or vomiting can be accompanied by dizziness. Although there are many causes of dizziness or fever, in people with the flu it usually results from dehydration. It is therefore important to maintain adequate fluid intake during this time until you get your appetite back. Dehydration can result from inability to tolerate fluids due to nausea and vomiting, and fluid loss can lead to increased sweating during fevers. Try to get plenty of rest and relaxation. We would recommend Echinacea especially in combination with Elderberry. However, it is important to get any shortness of breath checked out by your GP.
