Check nowYes, the inhalers used by people with asthma can cause a sore throat. There are two reasons for this:
1. You could be sensitive to the ingredients of your inhalers and if so, a non-specific inflammation could result which some people might describe as an allergy
2. In addition, inhalers containing steroids can make you more prone to infections, particularly fungal infections.
The best advice I can give you at this stage is to speak to your doctor who will examine your throat and perhaps do a throat swab. Once we have a better idea of what is causing your problem, the right treatment can be recommended.
