It's unlikely that the back pain is due to a physical injury if you are connecting it to the menopause. It is physical injuries that respond to ice.
You may find that applying Atrogel Arnica Gel to the painful area helps, or taking Devils Claw tincture internally.
You may also benefit from ensuring that you are properly hydrated, as dehydration often contributes to lower back pain.
If you are experiencing hot flushes and/or night sweats during the menopause, it is easy to become dehydrated. Drink plenty of water every day and see if this helps.
