background

I am 58 years old and, in 2001, I had a hysterectomy. They left the ovaries in. During the past year I have experienced a brain "freeze" as it is termed; the simplest decisions are almost impossible to make. Having been an intelligent woman, and hopefully I still am, could this be a classic symptom of menopause? I am also experiencing chronic heart burn together with a smokers cough although I don't smoke. I find that I am becoming breathless very quickly. Can you help?
