I am 39 years old, and I am still having periods regularly every month. However, I'm sweating throughout the day, and these sweats last for a few minutes. I don't have any other symptoms, and I'm not sweating during the night. My Mum is nearly 60, and she is still getting her periods. I started menustrating quite late at 15 years old. Could I be menopausal?

At 39 years old, you are still a bit young to be starting the menopause, although it can happen occasionally.

Your symptoms could be due to other factors such as stress, low iron or low thyroid, so it is best to get this checked by your doctor.

They may also be able to test your hormone levels, and that would give you a good idea as to what is happening.
