These can sometimes take a while to show benefit so if you have just started taking them, you may need to give them more time.
If you have been taking for more than a couple of months and they haven't helped then it is best to stop taking them and try something else.
Low mood/crying is a common symptom in the menopause and it is often caused by falling oestrogen so you may find taking a soya supplement, or black cohosh, or red clover helpful.
These are known to gently raise and balance oestrogen thus reducing symptoms.
Acupuncture can often be really effective for this so it is worth looking into as well, this may also help with your neck.
