Unfortunately, coming off HRT, especially if you did it quickly, can often trigger withdrawal symptoms that are identical to menopause ones.
When you come off HRT you are going from an artificially high level of hormones (HRT), to your own natural level. You are, in effect, having a sort of ‘menopause’, albeit an induced one.
What often happens in such cases is that your nervous system crashes and this can lead to all sorts of symptoms.
I would suggest doing some adrenal support work, such as taking a high magnesium supplement plus a high strength multi-vitamin.
Liquorice tea daily can be of benefit -if you like it!
Acupuncture can often really help here, so it is worth looking into as well.
Rest and relaxation are vital so try to get 30 minutes of proper relaxation or meditation every day. This can reduce symptoms very quickly!
Complementary therapist such as Herbalists, Nutritionists, and Naturopaths, are all aware of Adrenal Fatigue, so it may be an idea to seek their advice and they may be able to formulate an effective treatment plan for you.
In the meantime, you may find sage helpful for the flushes. There are no known contraindications with sage tablets and blood pressure tablets.
