background

I am going through the menopause and was given HRT which i reacted to very badly after 4 days. I now wear a magnet which has stopped my hot flushes but I still can't accept the weight gain around my middle area. I am 47 years old and have also had a hysteroctomy when I was 40 due to unusual heavy bleeding fibroids etc.

You won’t get the menopause the minute you turn 50! The average starting age is actually between 45 and 55 and it can often depend on a number of factors including hereditary, weight and health, however every single woman will have an individual menopause.
