I went to my GP because of continuous bleeding for the last month, it's the first time this has happened with me. I am going to be 51 This year. He gave me mefenamic acid 500mg. I am not in pain or anything it's just the bleeding.

It is important that you go back to your doctor and ask them to look into this further, because although prolonged bleeding does happen you should not be bleeding for this long - it is not good for you and can cause anaemia and other health issues. If your doctor refuses to help then I would advise asking for a second opinion. Just remember that if you were bleeding for this long from anywhere else in your body you would have had immediate treatment! Please don't be fobbed off by them saying it is OK - it's not!
