background

I had a hysterectomy when I was 27 years old. I also had an ovary removed with up to 14 cysts. I believe I went through the menopause then. Now I am 51 and I have joint pain but no other symptoms. I am feeling fatigued a lot of the time though. I did go to the doctors but my blood results came back OK. I am wondering about this pain in my left arm, right hip and left ankle though.

You won’t get the menopause the minute you turn 50! The average starting age is actually between 45 and 55 and it can often depend on a number of factors including hereditary, weight and health, however every single woman will have an individual menopause.
