Irregularity and heavy bleeding is a common picture in the menopause, but a bleed continuing for this long is not.
It is so important that you go to your doctor and ask them to help here, because although prolonged bleeding does happen in the menopause it is not good for you and can cause anaemia and other health issues. If your doctor refuses to help then I would advise asking for a second opinion. Just remember that if you were bleeding for this long from anywhere else in your body you would have had immediate treatment! Please don't be fobbed off by them saying it is OK - it's not!
