background

12 months ago I had a total yysterectomy with removal of my ovaries, almost instantly I noticed severe joint pain to the stage that I find it hard to perform daily tasks. I have had every test possible to find out what is causing the joint pain and only this week did I put 2 and 2 together and get 4 so asked my GP if he thought it could be menopause? Surprise surprise he said that joint pain is common in menopause, I feel quite angry that he knew this yet never in the past 12 months thought of suggesting this. I am wondering will this pain ease over time? Will I eventually go back to regular age joint pain, I also find that I forget so much and I get very anxious when around lots of people, I actually at times think I am going mad. Will this all end when menopause does I am on HRT do I need to gradually go off these of do I stay on them forever? Thankyou
