Perimenopause and feet changes
Has anyone else noticed changes in their feet during perimenopause?
At first, I was in complete denial. I didn’t really associate perimenopause with anything to do with feet – it just wasn’t on my radar. But then something strange started happening.
I have this gorgeous pair of high heel sandals that I used to wear all the time. They were my go-to for city breaks – stylish yet unbelievably comfortable. I could practically run in them! But now? I can't wear them at all. And yes, I’m definitely out of practice – but it’s more than that.
These days, when I get out of bed in the morning, I’m stiff as a board. My feet feel like they just won’t move. It’s like they’ve completely seized up overnight.
I used to have what I called “yoga feet” – flexible, strong, and mobile. I could stand flat and wiggle my toes in and out with ease. Now? Not so much. Everything feels tight and rigid.
So it’s clear to me now that I need to work on foot flexibility and strength. The good news is that kind of training doesn’t take long. And honestly, my ambition is simple: I want to get back into those sandals!
Have you experienced any “perimenopause feet” symptoms? Bunions, corns, lack of flexibility, swollen feet? I’d love to hear your stories – share in the comments below.
