Acne can be linked to a variety of triggers and stimulants so it isn’t as easy as identifying one underlying cause. Instead, you need to be broader with your approach and look at the overall picture.
For example, acne outbreaks can sometimes be triggered by what you’re eating – dairy products and sugar especially should be top of mind for acne sufferers as they can possess pro-inflammatory properties. Try to limit your intake of these food products and instead focus on getting as many skin-boosting vitamins and minerals into your diet as possible!
Food is just one possible avenue to explore though; stress, your hormones, your medications and your cosmetics – all can contribute to acne outbreaks!
