I'm sorry to hear that you suffer with S.A.D. Please don't be hard on yourself or see yourself as a 'wimp' as it is indeed a relatively common syndrome and is said to impact at least 10% of the population.
There is even a Seasonal Affective Disorder organisation in the UK aimed at supporting sufferers (http://www.sada.org.uk) so do take a look at their link.
