Echinaforce® Hot Drink Cold & Flu concentrate is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve the symptoms of the common cold and influenza type infections. This is based on traditional use only. Always read the leaflet.
Echinaforce® Hot Drink solution contains fresh extracts of Echinacea herb (95%) and root (5%), and Elderberry juice.
Our Echinacea products are produced using extracts of freshly harvested, organically grown Echinacea purpurea herb and root, picked fresh and used within 24 hours of harvest. The benefit of using freshly harvested herbs has been demonstrated by research – extracts from fresh plants contain almost 3 times more active substances compared to those obtained from equivalent amounts of dried herb*.
Echinaforce® Hot Drink is the latest product to join our Echinaforce® family. The Echinacea extract used is exactly the same as that found in our other Echinacea products:

Echinaforce® Hot Drink should be diluted with hot water and made into a hot drink before use.
1. Fill the 5ml measuring spoon provided with the product.
2. Pour the contents of the spoon into a cup.
3. Add hot water and stir.
Adults and children over 12 years:
Days 1 to 3: Take 5ml diluted in hot water five times daily
Days 4 to 10: Take 5ml diluted in hot water three times daily
For oral use only. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not take this product for a cold or flu for more than 10 days.
5 ml of concentrate contains:1,140 mg of extract (as tincture) of fresh Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench herb (1:12-13) and 60 mg of extract (as tincture) of fresh Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench root (1:11-12).Extraction solvent: Ethanol 65% V/V
The other ingredients used are sucrose, purified water, concentrated elderberry juice, citric acid monohydrate, modified starch, medium chain triglycerides, potassium sorbate and ethanol.
Although the data available suggests that use of Echinacea during pregnancy does not lead to any adverse effects, taking the herb during this time of life is not recommended. Similarly, use of Echinacea during breastfeeding is not recommended.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. These include digestive complaints such as nausea and allergies. The frequency of these is not known – this means not enough side effects have been recorded for us to calculate how frequently these are likely to occur.
Do not use if you are:
Echinaforce Hot Drink Concentrate contains sucrose and ethanol.
