Find out how flexible you areStinging Nettle (Urtica drops) has been used traditionally as a therapeutic herb for a myriad of health complaints ranging from the more serious to improving the appearance and quality of hair.
Stinging Nettle, has a well-known reputation for its sting when the skin touches the hairs and bristles on the leaves and stems. The name Urtica comes from the Latin verb urere, meaning 'to burn’.
Interestingly when the fine hairs on the Urtica plant come into contact with a painful area of the body they can actually cause a decrease in the original pain! Alfred Vogel was one who advocated this treatment to a number of his patients.
Today A.Vogel is kinder and the aerial parts of Urtica plants are carefully harvested and manufactured twice yearly into a tincture.

“Stinging nettle tincture was recommended to me to help with kidney stones. Since I started taking it I have had no discomfort. In fact my last scan shows they have reduced in size. (I have also made dietary changes - no animal protein, lots of lemon water etc.)”
Susan Moorhead
Response from A.Vogel: Urtica is great blood tonic and diuretic so we were pleased to read that it has helped you. We would point out: anyone with issues such as kidney stones, should always seek advice from a health care professional, before using any type of remedy.
