It is now establishes that if you have gone for 2 years without a period then the risk of pregnancy has passed and that you are ‘through’ the menopause. However, many women can continue to experience menopausal symptoms well passed that time. These symptoms are not usually hormone related but more to do with lifestyle and diet. If you are over the 2 year mark and still suffering it is a good idea to look at your diet, lifestyle and stress levels as this may be the cause.
