When I go to the shop, I get anxiety attacks. After I have bought papers, I get no anxiety on the same route home. Why?

I'm sorry to read that you are troubled with anxiety attacks en route to buy the papers.

Have you had a challenging experience in the past while doing this?

It may be helpful to take notice of what you are thinking before you go out and whilst you are walking to the shop?

What changes when you leave the shop to go home again?

Once we can identity what it is we think is going to happen or which unhelpful messages are on repeat in our minds, we have a chance to look at it differently, find a new perspective and create an action plan for tackling our anxiety.

I hope this process may help you find some answers. Let me know how you get on.
