What excesise can I do at the gym to help my pain in my lower back. I suffer from back spasms.

The best exercise I ever found for lower back pain was more sit ups/crunches.

In my experience, just use mobility exercises and stretches for the back rather than any strengthening work.

It is often weaker opposing muscles that allow spasms elsewhere, so relatively weak abs can allow backache to develop, as per your example.
