Centaurium umbellatum, used in our Centaurium tincture, is a small plant with purple flowers. It may be found in many parts of the world but especially in Middle Europe and Asia. The classification of the group of plants known as Centaurium is still in discussion and because of this, Centaurium umbellatum is sometimes also referred to as Centaurium erythrea.
It is said that the group of plants named Centaurium derived its name from the centaur Chiron, well known in Greek mythology for his skills as a herbalist.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Adults: 10 - 15 drops 3 times daily before meals, in a little water.
Children (2-12 years): This product is not recommended for children.
Do not exceed stated recommended daily dose.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Tincture of fresh aerial parts of Centaurium umbellatum(Centaury), extracted in alcohol (66% v/v).

“I have been using this a few weeks now, it really works for stomach problems, I've found I usually only need about 7 drops now on my evening meal, & occasionally lunch I take about 3-4drops, I still sometimes have to use Gaviscon at night, I don't get the awful hiatus hernia pain tho that I was getting. I would highly recommend this product.”

“I have used the product before "Centaurium" from Vogel. After taking anti-inflams for many years and getting the obvious bad guts, the next step is to take "Omeprazole" to settle the stomach, but that didn't work after a while, I was adviced at a health food shop of this tincture and it worked wonders. So now every time I have a bad bout of gut ache I go on Centaurium for a week of two and it works a treat.”
