My 14-month-old granddaughter has had a nasty cough. She is teething but the muck coming down her nose has gone from clear to green. Do you think she needs an antibiotic to clear it? She is also a little wheezy. Her mum is asthmatic.

It is difficult to know if she is needing antibiotics without examining her as the green mucus you are reporting might be coming from the back of her throat.
