This can happen at the start of the menopause, and just means that your oestrogen levels have fallen so that you haven't ovulated and therefore aren't bleeding.
You can sometimes still get the pre-menstrual symptoms even though you aren't menstruating, but this is usually just for a short while and then everything just gently disappears - it's the easiest way to go through the menopause, so you may be lucky! If you want to confirm this you can ask your doctor for a blood test.
