Solidago virguarea, also known as Golden Rod, is a herbaceous plant found in temperate countries, often in the natural flora of grassy mountainous areas. The name Solidago means ‘to make whole’. In 15th and 16th Century Europe it was used topically for wound healing but in modern times the main use of Solidago is to help maintain the health of the urinary tract. As well as being part of this tincture Solidago can also be found in our Golden Rod Herbal Tea.
The Birch tree (Betula pendula) is known as ‘The Tree of Life’. It grows well in temperate and Nordic climates and its leaves have been used in herbal supplement combinations to aid detox by supporting the body’s natural elimination of toxins and impurites. One of the lesser ingredients in this combination is Restharrow (Ononis spinosa). It is a commonly found in almost all parts of Europe, West Africa and Asia and has been used traditionally to support bladder health. Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) is another minor but important ingredient in Solidago complex. The plant is said to resemble a horse’s tail and it grows almost everywhere. Although poisonous to grazing animals when eaten in large quantities it has been used by people from as long ago as the Ancient Romans in the form of a tea.
Food supplement
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balance diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Directions:
Adults: 10-15 drops 3 times daily, in a little water.
Children: This product is not recommended for children.
Do not exceeed stated recommended daily dose.
Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Keep out of reach and site of children.
Ingredients:
Contains the tinctures of fresh Solidago virguarea* (Golden Rod) herb 69%, fresh Betula pendula (Birch) leaves 18%, fresh Ononis spinosa (Restharrow) herb 7% and fresh Equisetum arvense (Horsetail) herb 6%.
Alcohol content: 61% v/v

“I developed bladder inflammation that lasted a couple of months. I felt urgency and a feeling that I did not empty my bladder completely. I also had some pain in the bladder, it was a feeling of heat and burning. I increased my water intake and that helped with the pain but it was a very small improvement. My osteopath recommended me to take Solidago. I started taking it and I immediately felt so much better. I am back to normal and I am so happy because I thought that this pain was going to become chronic and I was never going to feel good again. I am still taking the drops to make sure the inflammation never comes back again. I am thankful for my osteopath's recommendation and for A Vogel.”

“After a complete success using this product to get rid of my kidney stones I decided to share it with my dad who has three old kidney stones, they are 3 4 and 5 centimeters (yes you read right, centimeters kidney stones). After a week of taking it as instructed he started to *** like whiteish color from all the calcium in his stones, he was scheduled for surgery, now he is going to continue using this product for two or three months and get a ct scan to see the state of his stones.”

“it certainly works as a strong diuretic and with a regular intake of water it helps the kidney function. so with some personal effort, it does what the label says. i am a chronic sufferer of kidney stones; a combination of good diet, lots of water, absence of alcohol and the solidago complex has eased my pain a lot although it is hard to define limits of the product in this case. i would recommended it to other people with a similar condition or for any intoxication diet”
