My last period was one year ago. I am 53 years old with 4 children. I have booked an appointment to see my doctor as I dont want to use contraceptives any more. Do I need a hormone test to see if it is safe?
You are normally considered safe from pregnancy after not having had any periods for 2 years, until that point it is advisable to keep using precautions, just in case!
