I am 51 years old and my periods stopped 2 years ago. A few weeks ago, I had really bad cramps and I felt as though I was going to have a period. This morning I was so shocked as I have the sign that they are going to start again. Is this normal?

This is quite common and can often be caused by things such as a 'last fling' by your hormones, stress, illness, strenuous exercise, and dieting.

However, it is best to get it checked out by your doctor as well.
