When you come off HRT, especially if it is done quickly, the body can take quite a while to rebalance itself and very often the symptoms return with a vengeance. Sage may help to reduce the hot flushes / sweats and I would also recommend a liquid magnesium to help calm the system generally. If the symptoms become unbearable it is best to ask your doctor to go back on to HRT. Once the symptoms have stopped, try to come off again but do so very slowly this time and you should find that the symptoms are much more easily managed.
