This can happen and is often caused by dehydration. If you don't drink a lot of water during the day (or drink lots of tea, coffee, fizzy juices) then the urine becomes very concentrated during the night and this can then irritate the bladder waking you up and making you feel the need to go and once you do go the nervous system is triggered leading to a flush.
The best way to combat this is to drink plenty of plain water during the day so your body stays hydrated at night. If you only drink more in the evening this won't help and may make you get up more! Try to avoid coffee, tea and fizzy drinks as these can trigger flushes as well.
