Falling oestrogen in the menopause can affect the nervous system and this can then result in tingling/pins and needles.
However, low iron or low thyroid can also cause similar symptoms so it is a good idea to ask your doctor to test for these just to rule them out.
In the meantime, you may find a magnesium citrate supplement or a skin spray applied to the affected area may help.
Acupuncture may also be effective so it is worth looking into.
