A year ago I experienced 3 weeks of flooding and I found out that I had fibroids as well. I have since gone a year without a period, only to start flood again. This time it is extremely painful.

Getting a period even after a year without any is quite common, but as you are flooding and experiencing pain it is very important that you get this checked out by your doctor.
